Barb is the owner and principal at Bickford Collaboration in the eastern metro area of Minnesota, where she helps leaders struggling with leading more inclusive meetings and frustrated with the results of their meetings. Through her consulting and teaching, she helps them have more collaborative, engaging meetings that get more done in less time.
Barb loves serving leaders working in the fields of the environment, science, government, waste management, healthcare, and public health when she can draw on her extensive personal experience as a hydrogeologist and medical waste coordinator in the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
In addition to science and health professionals, Barb has served groups as diverse as librarians, girl scouts, women in jail, international students, and non-profit boards. She has led groups on wilderness canoe trips, in workshops and healing retreats, and in churches – and loves working with any group that seeks to work better together.
Barb is a quiet yet strong leader who is always on the lookout for how to do things more effectively and efficiently, especially in meetings. She is thrilled to be supporting leaders to greater collaboration through JOFC.
