Sandy Salvo is an experienced facilitator and trainer who enjoys creating opportunities for people to grow into their natural strengths and discover meaningful ways to serve the greater good. She is a retreat planner, integral facilitation trainer, Qigong instructor, and mindfulness teacher who believes in cultivating self-awareness and connection to our natural world and to one another.
Retired from full-time work at UW Health as Program Director of Patient- and Family-Centered Care, Sandy’s earlier career also included such roles as a quality analyst, trainer, and process improvement coach for UW Health, fitness and program director for the YMCA and UW Sports Medicine Center, and volunteer coordinator and facilitator for the City of Madison. She received her initial training in facilitation and group management early in her career and completed teacher training for the JOFC
course in 2019.
Besides co-teaching JOFC, Sandy conducts workshops for church leaders, facilitates retreats for personal growth and transformation, and serves on the Speaker’s Bureau for her church synod. Sandy resides in Middleton, WI when not enjoying their cabin on Little Pike Lake in the ‘North Woods’.
She enjoys being active outdoors, especially on her bike or being in, on, and around water. She cherishes the time with her grandchildren, including their ability to be fully present and immersed in whatever catches their fancy. She believes peace in this world begins with each person connecting to their inner voice for guidance and living a life of kindness and compassion.
